Gilbert Heating was opened in 1958 by George Gilbert in what is now the Sandusky Paint Building.

Gilbert Heating took on Lennox Furnaces & Air Conditioners in 1964 and have sold them ever since.

Lennox boasts the fact that they have the Good Housekeeping Seal & are Energy Star Rated!

Tom Runkle began working for George in 1968 as a Serviceman/Installer. He moved on to purchase the company in 1988 and has continued its tradition of quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Tom's Sons (Todd, Jerry, and Brian) Purchased the business from him in 2006 and carry on the Gilbert tradition. Todd's daughter Emily also came to the company in 2007 and has become one of Sandusky's only female installers.

Gilbert's services from Vermillion to Oak Harbor and as far southeast as Wakeman, including all the Lake Erie Islands residentially and commercially.

Gilberts currently has 10 vehicles on the road.
