General information

Bikurious Racing Collective [BRC] is a new grouping of Montreal cyclists who are passionate about performance cycling, shared knowledge, and see strength in collective organizing and encouragement.

If you have never raced before, that’s okay! If you don’t even know that you want to race, that’s okay too! We’re here to make it as easy as possible to try that first race. If racing doesn’t seem appealing, just coming out and training/riding is good too!

We are a team of men and women who are strong advocates for women’s cycling. Our main mission is to promote cycling for everyone, from training to top-level regional competition, by providing a structure and an environment that are welcoming

BRC believes in a pyramid approach of athlete development. Pooling from a large number of riders and increasing ridership allows for peer mentorship and structured support to aid in the development of all riders.

We would also like to raise participation in all disciplines of cycling with a strong presence during the fall cyclocross season.

Bikurious Racing Collective is managed by Bikurious Montreal, a bicycle shop founded by Marissa Plamondon-Lu that has always strived at its core to render cycling accessible to all, with a strong focus on women.

By building the team as a collective, we hope to be able to cater the season and goals to who is involved. As such, nothing is set in stone and nothing is not possible (within reason). The number one goal is that we ride hard and we ride together.
