Youth Employment Service is a 501 (c) (3) organization that works with Monroe County youth ages 14-24 to offer career guidance and assistance through workshops, seminars, job shadowing, mentorships and work experience. Our mission is to help our youth determine the career goal for their future, establish their future path, and help them in the pursuit of their career. We offer a 9-month program called Project Success that meets twice a month for career guidance, leadership, employability, resume writing, mock interview and teambuilding seminars. The program will culminate in a mentorship/job shadowing opportunity, and eligible participants will be enrolled for our Summer Work Experience Program. SWEP is for academically or economically disadvantaged youth to gain work experience for 6 weeks in the summer, learning employability skills firsthand while they earn minimum wage for some summer or back-to-school spending money. Eligibility is required for SWEP. Applications for both Project Success and Summer Work Experience Program are available at the PA CareerLink in Tannersville.
