Sandy Creek Nature Center is a regional leader in environmental education. Walk-in visitors can enjoy our trails and natural history exhibits. Programs are available for families, school groups, scout troops, homeschoolers, and other groups. Public programming is offered for a variety of ages and on a wide range of topics. We also operate a 7-week American Camp Association- accredited day camp each summer.
In 2012, Sandy Creek Nature Center completed a major expansion funded by SPLOST and community partnership dollars. Over 4,000 square feet were added to the Education & Visitor Center, including new exhibits and a planetarium.
